Online scheduling

Please Arrive On Time. Leave time for parking, paid parking, and paperwork.

You need 5-10 minutes to fill out paperwork the first time. Plan on 10 minutes with insurance paperwork.

Leave yourself plenty of time to get there. There is a small parking lot for behind the Saturn building parking use 15 minutes or 1 hour slots for your massage. Do note that parking in Fremont can take 10-20 minutes if the small parking lot is full. There's nothing more stressful than racing to a massage. Better to get there a little early and relax than to get there late and miss part of your treatment.

Speak Up About Pressure, Warmth, Music, Quiet time...

During your therapy, feel free to speak up on anything you would like to be different -- more pressure, less pressure, quieter music, a blanket if you're cold, turning the table warmer off. Your comfort is the most important thing, and your therapist is there for you.

The Nudity Question

Therapeutic Bodywork is usually done undressed and professionally draped at all times. Only the part of the body being massaged is exposed. You can keep your underwear on, but it might limit the therapist's access to muscles that could use some work.

If you’re just starting out and know you have some anxieties about being massaged by a stranger, ask the receptionist about treatments where you keep your clothes on, like Craniosacral Therapy, reflexology or Reiki.  Thai Massage is a clothed treatment, but make sure to wear stretchy workout clothes.

Is Talking Allowed?

You can talk during the treatment or be quiet, as you choose. The therapist should follow your lead. If you're not talking and the therapist won't be quiet, you can say something like, "I'm just going to be quiet/rest for a little while." The therapist will get the hint. In general, try to use a quiet "spa voice" when you talk.

When the treatment is over, breathe, get up slowly and have some water.  Take it easy getting up as you should be very relaxed by now.  Gratuity is not expected but if you want to express your gratitude it is a gift.

Cancelling Your Appointment

24-hour cancellation policy is required unless there is an emergency ie hospitalization, injury, illness, a fee is charged. Call or text your Bodyworker.

What to expect:

COVID PRECAUTIONS:

Please check your temperature at home before your appointment. Only come into your appointment time if you have NO SYMPTOMS. Sign covid precaution form. Wash hands before and after bodywork. Please wear a mask over your nose and mouth the whole time you enter the building until you leave the building. If you do have symptoms of covid cancel immediately with no fee. The table will be warmed and heater on if needed while the window fans will be on exhaust for the entire treatment. Your comfort is important so speak up if you are to warm or too cold.

I thoroughly go over your health history with you to make sure there are no contraindications for bodywork. The therapist will leave the room while you undress to your level of comfort. You lay down on a warmed ergonomically designed massage table where you are professionally draped while under a sheet and blanket at all times.

Pressure:

Always let your licensedmassage therapist know if you want more or less pressure at any time. Do not hesitate to let your therapist know if you are uncomfortable at any time. A massage should 'hurt good' but never be painful. It is false 'No pain, no gain" The muscle actually tightens and resists releasing with to much pressure. Allow your muscles to re-educated to release pain and tension. Learn to feel your best in your body.

Music:

I provide relaxing music during your massage. You can always choose to bring your own music on an ipod or iphone to play on my speaker docking station.
